History...

Since August 2004 we felt the call to open this foundation to help the poor especially children. To establish a children's/family center that will feed, clothe and educate with the good news of the Jesus love for them, period. We are a Missions Driven foundation, with a passion to simply help. That's what motives us. Reaching out to "Our neighbors" in Latin America the best we can. Reaching poor families & children.
The founder, since 2001 would use his vacation time to do missionary work visiting Domincan Republic in August 2001, then Cuba in 02' & Guatemala in 03'.

We do not travel 2 or 3 days, unless funds don't permit us to stay longer, but our desire is to share with these families. Today, the entire town knows who we are. They love and appreciate us dearly, and those that visit with us. The local governer also knows our deeds. By traveling constantly, we have established relationships in the two countries in which we have begun to work with. Dominican Republic and Colombia. This has allowed us to win the trust of the families. We also work closely with the local church thus acquiring there support to help us in oversee the projects. We prepare the local church leaders to be an extention of us locally. Therefore we, with your help, become a facilitator for the poor. Taking clothing, building schools, children centers, homes, churches whatever the need might be as the area calls for. Taking missionaries, youth groups, retreats. We have been blessed with great friends. For example, the christian band, Contagious, & Spanish christian singer of reggae "El Soldado" . It is our desire to have the funds to take El Soldado to our project to minister to the families, youth & children. Contagious vistied with us on July 06' along with 35 of there youth. Visit "El Soldado's" "Contagious" web page here.

How we reach and impact children through there families.
As of June 2007 we live on site. Before, our Mission Trips were usually extended or we would travel back and fourth. During these trips we reach out to parents, visit prisons, drug rehab centers. We have learned that being a part of the restoration of the father or single mother will impact children & the home more then anything else. The majority of problems in the life of a child & youth is at home. We have given seminars, conferences and spoken at different places. For example, Antioquia Drug Rehab Center in Tunja, Colombia. A women's cell group we helped start in Tunja, Colombia Visited the prison in Colombia. Held a crusade in Cicuco, Colombia. (One of the poorest parts of Colombia where the streets are of sand. The garbage is thrown in the streets.) And now fulltime in Dominican Republic.

How did it begin? - Read this, it's an amazing story!
Because of our love towards God, we felt motivated to pray and seek to serve Him more. The founder, Jorge, resigned in faith from "The Children's Psy., Center in Miami. While in prayer & desiring to do something God felt fond of, he felt God leaning him to work with children in Dominican Republic. This was June 04' A couple days later, a stranger gave one of our volunteers a sealed envelope. It contained $80. Which $78. of that was the cost to open a non profit org in Florida. Three weeks later, a stranger in Dominican Republic donated a piece of land. Three weeks after that, an architectual firm in Tampa donated the plans.

Dr. Daisy. Jorge met her while surveying a larger piece of property. The one we had received had no fruit trees, no vegetation, and we were concerned of how we would feed children after we would build. Dr Daisy (see her bio below) was injecting the children of Rudylania. (pictured here) They called me and asked who I was. From that conversation, Daisy helps us volunteering with us and helped us gain the trust, confidence and love of the entire town of Juan Santiago. Little did we know, that a year and 2 months after sponsors would help us build this same family a new home!

Who we are & some of our accomlishments

We currenly work in a town called "Juan Santiago" "La Tinaja" & "Sabana Chen" in Dominican Republic. This in 20 mins from the Haitian border in the Provincia of Elias Piņa. Provincia or Departamento in Latin America is like a "State" in the US.

We began in August 04' and by August 05' we were ready to begin trips. Our board members and volunteers back then each put $50. so that we could complete our first trip to the Dominican Republic. It was hard, very difficult, but every begining is like that. We felt that God has been here always helping us take these leaps of faith. The founder used a motorcyle (still does today) to meet the families we now work closely with. On that very first trip, he also suffered an accident. Fractured 3 ribs and his clavicle. He says it was an experience that he needed in order to be more "human". This incident made a change in his heart, to feel more compassion, and understand the reality of there being no hospitals in this part of D.R. and live/experience what these familias live through. While in the hospital that day, the electricity went out. Happens every day for hours.

What's been going on in our project site, Dominican Republic?
By June 06' a Christian group known as "Contagious" and 35 of there youth, which perform amazing dramas came to our project. They donated to rebuild a school in a town called "La Tinaja". They brough over 500lbs of clothing. (See the pictures here)

Oct 06' Pastor Chris & a youth leader - Kevin came over also. Four days later, another group came over, Franco, Milton & Martha Diaz of Miami.

Nov. 06' we returned to build a home for the poorest family in the town of Juan Santiago" this was there Christmas present. read more about them here.

In May 06' we felt the call to expand to Colombia. To a town called "Saboya" our mission in Colombia is to reach children, through a local pastor, who struggles greatly even to feed his family. His 2 children are 2 and 3 yrs old. Read more about them here. Our desire is to help them build or purchase a church that will reach out to the community and establish a children's program. Below from right to left, The pastors wife - Milena, the pastor Jairo, to the left, the founder, and what would become his future wife, sofia, with the pastors son, David.

Founder/Missionary - Jorge & Sofia Escalona
How our accomodations usually are (on the floor to save on cost).
Jorge does all of the traveling, while we continue to grow, waiting for the
day we can take more missionaries. We trully want to share with others what
we live through in these trips.

Martha Madrigal - treasurer
is a strong hand in our foundation. Her support in prayer, and advice is priceless. She is a women's leader at Ekklesia Church in Miami, Fl. Her prayers while we are away in trips are amazing. We count on them!

Natalia Berajano - President.
Met us in a church presentation, she said she felt God calling her to help us administratively. To her surprise, her husband felt to do a missionary trip with us in May 08'. His an electrician for the State of Florida.

Ricardo & Luz Torrado - (Volunteer)
Ricardo works for Telefonica in Miami, he also met us in a church presentation. His passion for children is increidible and desire to help us, led us to offer him and his wife Luz and opportunity to develop a special gift he has of his contagious desire to help the poor and the things we do in D.R.

Gisela Vargas (pictured)
board member.
"Thank you for visiting with us! Having battled Cerebral Palsy for half of my life, living in a wheel chair, molested when young, truely God can do anything if we believe He is bigger then we are! Jorge was an answer to a prayer I did. I was feeling lonely a couple years ago. I asked God to please send me a special friend, one that would inspire me, that would challenge me and help me in my walk with God. I feel priviledged to be part of Nazirite Children's Missions. I have lived through the pain of Jorge as he established this ministry. I am glad that I to could be there for him while he labored through the birth pains of starting a ministry, especially one like this. This isn't your ordinary ministry, we are working with God's favorite, special creation, children. Jorge and I have decided to accept invitations. We want to reach out, we believe our stories can help fire up or impact our youth, your church. While also being a voice for the voiceless, those we help, the poor. Gisela is now in Germany, her husband is a miliary for the United States.

Milton & Martha Diaz - board member. (pictured in yellow) Milton & Martha Diaz are president of an Appraisal co., Their heart drives us all! They met us while we presented the foundation in a Local church, they both decided to visit with us and sponsor the trip in Oct. 06' along with Franco, Franco also met us in the church that day. They are pictured below in front of the school we donated.

Fernando Leon
Fernando joined the team in May 2008. He is in charge of our Colombia project. Working closely with the pastor Jairo & Milena. His passion and desire to help build up this small project is awesome! He has done an amazing job in just weeks of joining us.

Dr. Daisy

Our very own, Dr. Daisy. Her direction, assistance, zeal to help the poor and help us has no price! Her support is amazing! She actually lives in Dominican Republic and helps us every time we travel to our project site. She was instrumental in us finding the town we work in Juan Santiago. She dedicates her talent at no cost, taking care of citizens and children we serve. She is our volunteer, as a doctor. We wish to someday bring her aboard f/t as an employee.

Candida Hernandez

Is a tremondous support. I mean increidible. She opened the doors of her home to allow us to move from the States for 8 months. Living with her made it easier for us, since the transition was pretty drastic for us.

Andres Gomez also is a great support for our organization in prayer and assisting with the administrative part when we are in the mission field. Andres has also grown up without a father, and feels to reach out to kids. He is a youth leader at his church in Miami. Ages 8 to 14. Where he has taken the youth to another level in intimacy with God.
"The growth has been noticible since he began working there."
... Jorge

Stephanie
is our teenage volunteer, she was 14 in that picture below when she did her first missions trip with the founder. She had the opportunity to go to our project in D.R. In Nov. 05'. Stephanie has a giving heart, with such a young age, she has been touched by what she has seen in Dominican Republic. Stephanie is now 18 years old and is living in Germany going to school. Stephanie grew up without a dad since the age of 2.

"I really encourage you to come and visit our project, it has changed, ultered my life. I was desiring to be a Judge, but I now want to study something that will help children."

Stephanie, our youth missionary, office volunteer. this picture is from
her first missions trip. And her first trip with us to our project in
Dominican Republic. Nov. 05'. She is now in Germany.

Giovanni Royo
, also known as "El Soldado". He has shared the stage with Ziggy Marley, Bob Marley's son. He is a christian reggae singer in spanish. El Soldado's vision and dream has been to help children all his life, since he himself suffered greatly as a child. El Soldado and I have done trips to other states to talk about our foundation. "I was estatic when Jorge asked me if I wanted to be part of Nazirite, I instantly said yes! Its a dream come true for me.

Robert is partner of a Mortgage company and has extensive experience in the business world. He is also a deacon at a local church.
